Serving as the flagship player for the Minnesota North Stars/Dallas Stars as the franchise’s all-time leader for goals, assists, points and games played, Mike Modano was a member of a Stanley Cup championship with the Stars in 1999 and has made eight appearances at the NHL All-Star Game. From the late-1990s, we have a stick used by the superstar during the Stanley Cup playoffs in either 1998-99 or 1999-2000, with this specific type of model seeing use from 1998-99 to and including 2000-01. An Easton T-Flex model with inserted black Easton blade, “Modano Custom 95” appears over the upper shaft in factory graphics, with the original black tape over the blade and handle intact. There is also a handwritten code on the butt end of “RD 2 GM 5” (Round 2 Game 5). Sporting light to moderate game-use with wear to the handle and taped section of blade, there is also a tiny chip at the heel. We should add that the shaft shows more wear than the blade, and was probably used longer. Additionally, the shaft has a substance applied throughout for added grip, and it remains sticky. Modano would score 23 points in 23 playoff games in both 1999 and 2000!
