Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/29/2025
Intriguing and curious and offering multiple possibilities and opportunities is this lot consisting of fourteen (14) complete sets of O-Pee-Chee's fan favourite 1990-91 Premier release. All featuring the 132-cards that make up the checklist, the lineup features the rookie cards of now-legends Jaromir Jagr and Sergei Fedorov, while the RC lineup (of 58) also features fellow Hall of Famers Mike Modano, Rob Blake and Mats Sundin, with Jeremy Roenick, Curtis Joseph, Peter Bondra, Alexander Mogilny and Owen Nolan RCs also contributing and accompanied by the likes of Gretzky, Lemieux, Roy, Yzerman, Hull, Sakic and other stars. Headlined by two (2) copies of Jaromir Jagr's key rookie card that have both been graded by KSA to the tune of MINT 9 assessments for their efforts, the remaining twelve (12) copies of the key Jagr rookie card all appear to be in and around the same condition state, possessing attributes such as strong colours, sharp corners, good centering, clean surfaces and smooth edges though a few show light toning and all sport a humidity curve to them that is worth mentioning for accuracy. With the fourteen (14) copies of Sergei Fedorov's rookie card also presenting like the previously mentioned Jagr's, the lot also includes a group of over 2000 extra cards from the 1990-91 O-Pee-Chee Premier release, within it including the examples of players like Fedorov (x13), Joseph (x12), Modano (X18), Mogilny (x13), Nolan (x11), Roenick (x11), Sundin (x10) and numerous others. A true classic from an era of the hobby dominated by forgettable releases, don't miss out on these!
