Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/29/2025
One of the first European born and trained players inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, Borje Salming first made the transition to North American hockey and the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1973 after three seasons in his native Sweden with professional club Brynäs IF. Sixteen seasons would be spent with the blue and white, with Salming holding the Leafs all-time records for assists, as well as goals and points for a defenseman. This 1974-75 O-Pee-Chee Salming rookie card has been graded NM 7 by PSA, and it is accompanied by a memorial patch and signed jersey and puck. The card is beautifully centered and displays wonderfully for the grade. The puck is a Leafs InGlasCo model signed in silver (COA included), and the jersey is an Adidas "1972" model with tackle twill team crest and numbers, signed on the reverse 2 in blue marker. The patch is in Swedish colours and it says "Borje".
