Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Joining once again, in collaboration with the Montreal Canadiens, Classic Auctions is pleased to offer a large collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the storied club’s comprehensive archives. A number of historic specimens direct from the famous team including unique displays that were once marvelously displayed in the hallowed Montreal Forum and later at the Bell Centre are available, with an endless array of legendary and monumental players featured that all proudly once donned the sacred jersey of the mighty Montreal Canadiens.
Produced to honour the 150th anniversary of the death of Canadian entrepreneur, businessman and brewer John Molson in 1986, this oversized Canada Post framed stamp display hails directly from the archives of the Montreal Canadiens and was most likely displayed originally in the Montreal Forum and possibly later at the Bell Centre. At 24” x 40” the large replica stamp appears to be mounted to board, set in a shadow box-style frame to full dimensions of approx 34” x 50”. A small gold-coloured plaque over the base lists the particulars in French, with some light wear to the frame, and please note that due to the size and/or weight, special shipping arrangements may be required. An LOA from Classic Auctions will be included.
