Relive the excitement and aftermath of the Czech Republic winning goal at the 1998 Winter Olympics through this unique size 56 Nike game jersey that Martin Rucinsky gifted to Montreal Canadiens teammate Stephane Quintal (they played together from 1995-96 to 1998-99). Featuring all of the expected qualities reserved for the jerseys Nike produced for the Games in Nagano, including the code bar in the hem. The jersey, which has the number 26, does not exhibit any noticeable wear and we believe that it was worn by post-Olympic celebrations by Rucinsky – either at the Olympic Village or at the rally which took place back home in the Czech Republic. The are a large amount of champagne stains on the jersey along with what appears to be a small cigarette burn on the lower left sleeve – a sign that a party was going on! Tagging on the jersey appears to be complete and intact with a large Nike tag in the collar and a "Made In Canada" tag a few inches below. The inside left torso seam has a small size tag and a washing tag beside it. At one point, the jersey was mounted and had pins put through the material. As a result, there are a few small holes that can be spotted on the sleeves. This style of jersey was first introduced for the 1998 Olympics by Nike. The Czech Republic jerseys, while somewhat similar to Canada and Belarus, with it's arched striping from the collar to the armpits, employed a unique font for the numbers as well as the bold color blocks inspired by the flag of the Czech Republic to set it apart from the others, but left no doubt as to who it belonged to with the ultra bold CZECH emblazoned across the lower back. A signed LOA from Stephane Quintal will accompany this unique sweater.
