This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
The 24th player on the Boston Red Sox roster to hit a home run in the 2009 season, setting a new franchise record, catcher Dusty Brown spent two seasons in Massachusetts before a final season with Pittsburgh, in 2011. We have a collection of nine bats used during his time in Boston, with five signed. Assorted models, all in the 34” range, there are five matching Louisville M110 models (three are signed in silver on the barrel with “Game Used” notation), and a pair of Akadema A510 Pro models. The final two bats have also been signed on the barrel with “Game Used” notation, including a Phoenix DB110 model and a Hoosier HB 215 model. The majority of the bats sport handle tar with number “80” handwritten to the knobs and show game use (four of the bats also have “80” handwritten in silver within the hallowed-out section atop each barrel including three of the M110 models and the Hoosier bat). We should also note that four of the bats sport handle cracks (all M110 models), with no other obtrusive damage to any of the specimens in the group.
