Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Often heard about/discussed/contemplated over the past three decades but rather infrequently seen are elusive holograms featuring the Stanley Cup and available in packs of Pro Set hockey cards during that company's inaugural 1990-91 hockey card issue. "THE STANLEY CUP" is etched on the front, below an image of the most recognizable trophy in all of professional sports, while the back has an informative write-up of the trophy's history, along with some of the Cup's lore; how it was mistreated, forgotten and lost by various "winners" over the years. Hand-numbered "2477 OF 5000" on the lower back, this example has been preserved in crease-free condition, with however multiple light scratches on the silvery front to be aware of. For those of you fascinated by this chase card over the years, here's an opportunity to score.
