Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Blessed with witnessing some of the greatest netminders the game has ever seen, the Montreal Forum hopefuls enjoyed decades of cheering-on legendary keepers including Georges Vezina, Jacques Plante and Patrick Roy. St Patrick’s time in a Habs uniform was spent entirely at the Forum for home games, with the venue seeing its last game the season Roy was traded to Colorado. We have a highly desirable original Montreal Forum white #33 seat, and it’s been signed by the superstar goaltender. At just under 36” in height, the original number “33” remains stenciled in red on the seat back along with “Patrick Roy” (in script) and his Stanley Cup wins, with a Habs logo over the upper right. Roy has signed over the bottom right of the seat back, with the small and thin blue ink signature somewhat light but displaying well. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
Additional Canadiens’ logos in solid red sit embossed on each of the lower supports, with “1924-1996” beneath, with the seat’s brown covering tear-free. There is some chipping to the paint over the seat back – especially along edges – with light wear to the legs/supports.
