Following in the foot steps of Wayne Gretzky, first with numerous seasons with the Edmonton Oilers and then additional time with the Los Angeles Kings, Jari Kurri would complete his Hall of Fame career with a trio of single seasons spent with the Rangers, Mighty Ducks and Avalanche. From his noteworthy time in Hollywood, we have a Kings alternate captain’s jersey worn by the superstar Finn in 1993-94, where he appeared in 81 games. A Maska Ultrafil label and size “54” fly tag grace the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse lower hem. Styled with an attractive and textured Kings’ team crest, the solid black V-neck has been accented with “17” in tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Kurri” across the upper reverse in single white twill. The team patch denoting the garment as a “Set 1” example resides on the inside hem, and it’s been initialed by club trainer Peter Millar.
Exhibiting great game use, there are marks and board burns over the lower front and sleeves, with a small resulting hole over the right elbow. There are also a few additional stick marks over the reverse, with some pilling to the interior sleeves.
