Simply breathtaking is this jewel-set Chopard (Geneva) watch smothered in diamonds, sapphires, and gold, including five floating diamonds, and which was purchased at the very limited event where Chopard and Elton John unveiled the collection of Chopard watches for the Elton John Aids Foundation, held on March 14, 2002 at the Chopard Manhattan, N.Y. boutique. The watch, which comes with a 2013 Chopard insurance appraisal value in the amount of $41,750.00, was purchased at the event and gifted to our consignor, and includes the original invitation to the event signed by none other than Sir Elton John, who, as mentioned in the accompanying Chopard press release, monitored the design of the line of watches closely. This incredible watch, engraved on the faintly scratched back as "Chopard Happy Sport", is from the famous Chopard line that represents Chopard's Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele's personal 'all-day' interpretation of the world renowned "Happy Diamonds" concept with free-moving diamonds. Simply a jaw-dropping piece that comes in its original Chopard case and box, and includes its' attached band, which shows a touch of wear, and two separate watch bands and its original bag.
