Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

Canadian baseball fans still mourn the loss of the Montreal Expos, a team often in contention, and one that came oh so close on several occasions before moving on to become the Washington Nationals. And what a nice find this is, an album filled from front to back with 1969 Expos B&W 5” x 7” glossies, the team’s inaugural season, with the players’ cut signatures placed below, along with 9 loose Expo cut sigs, a 1969 Expos “Let’s Talk Baseball” booklet from O’Keefe, and 3 “Young Expos Club” membership cards (with a name signed on only 1). It’s impossible for us to tell if the photos and cut autographs can be removed from the album, but they remain in wonderful condition and include photos and sigs of Gene Mauch, Adolfo Phillips, Howie Reed, Mack Jones, Dan McGinn, Ron Brand, Bill Stoneman, Carl Morton, Ron Fairly, Rusty Staub, Claude Raymond, Jim Fairey, Steve Renko, Gary Sutherland, Mike Wegener, John Boccabella, Marv Staehle, Bob Bailey, Joe Sparma, and a cut from owner Charles Bronfman thanking a fan and wishing all the best. Separate cuts include sigs from Donn Clendenon, Dick Williams, Don Hahn, Remy Hermosa, Ty Cline, Adolfo Philips, Jerry Zimmerman, Harry “Peanuts” Lowrey, and 1 other. Most cuts measure 3” x 5”, all are in excellent condition and signed in blue ballpoint pen.
