A rare find for jersey collectors, this is Bo Berglund's number 19 Sweden game-worn jersey from the 1980 Lake Placid Olympic hockey tournament. This striking yellow knit jersey exhibits clear game use with stick marks to the right side of the jersey below the logo. It features blue shoulders and blue stripes below the shoulders and above the hem and three blue stripes around each arm. The name "Berglund" is heat-pressed in slightly darker yellow letters on a blue sewn-on nameplate. A special logo with "Sverige, Lake Placid 1980" written above a circle surrounding the Olympic rings, all in blue, is heat-pressed onto a yellow crest sewn onto the front of this rare jersey. Berglund's blue No. 19 is also heat-pressed. After playing for the only team that the young Americans were unable to defeat in Lake Placid, Berglund made one more Olympic appearance with Sweden in the 1988 games in Calgary, where he contributed four goals and four assists. This incredible find for hockey jersey collectors comes with Bo Berglund's signed letter of authenticity. Berglund contributed one goal and three assists while playing all seven games for Sweden, which finished third in the tournament to claim the bronze medal. Berglund made his NHL debut three years after Lake Placid with Quebec, which drafted him 242nd overall in the summer of 1983. At 28, the veteran Swede had 43 points in 75 regular season games during the 1983-84 season, including 16 goals and 27 assists, before adding two more goals in seven playoff games with the Nordiques. Traded to the Minnesota North Stars the following season, Berglund also played briefly with Philadelphia before returning to Sweden in 1986 to play four more seasons for club team AIK Solna.
