Superb Wilson dureen tie-down Bruins white jersey was worn by the prolific Phil Esposito in circa 1969-71, a time when Espo, Orr, Sanderson, Cheevers and their teammates had the city of Boston at their feet. The Bruins would hoist the Stanley Cup in the era of this game-worn jersey – 1970, when Bobby Orr flew through the air after beating Blues goalkeeper Glenn Hall, and Esposito, who would be inducted into the HOF in 1984, smashed his own single season scoring record in '70-71 with an unheard of 76 goals and as many assists and the Bruins as a team scored 399 times. This fabulous Espo gamer has the Wilson company tag in the neck with a "52" added in ballpoint, which is the correct size for an Espo jersey of that era. Marks are scattered about, although many are washed out, or partially washed out. Some material stretches are noticeable on each side of the team crest, and the interior shows tracings of pilling. The Bruins crest, Phil's assistant captain's "A", as well as the "7"s on the back and sleeves are all in tackle twill and sewn-on, and no evidence of any alterations is visible. A double garter-style fight strap is in the tail and which has rust in the closing mechanism and straps nearby. All in all, a dazzling jersey from Phil Esposito's heyday.
