Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

From game 5 of the 1965 Stanley Cup Finals between the Canadiens and Chicago Black Hawks comes this terrific program from the Montreal Forum on a night when the eventual Cup-winners, the Montreal Canadiens, would blank the visiting Hawks 6-0 to take a 4 games to 2 lead. Measuring 8” x 11”, this 48-page program is complete with all pages intact, with just a hint of edge wear and and a small handwritten “1965-65” in the bottom left corner of the cover. The lineup pages, which feature the usual suspects Hull, Hall, and Mikita etc. for Chicago, and Canadiens Richard, Cournoyer and Beliveau (who would win the 1st Conn Smythe Trophy in these playoffs), are unmarked, as are the rest of the pages. A dandy Cup program from the old Montreal Forum, with a determined-looking John Ferguson on the front cover.
