Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

It's almost as if a family owned and wore these skates, although their feet sure were narrow. Four pairs of antique ice skates from the Victorian/Edwardian era, with a smaller man's pair, a boy's set with attachable Mignon blades, and two different styles of ladies' skates. The man's skates, with Union Hardware blades, have tightening straps on each, while one of the ladies' pairs, made by Spalding, sit higher up the ankle than the other pair which was made by Starr. All four so unique. And so narrow. These four pairs of ancient beauties are in nice shape indeed, particularly the ladies high ankle pair, which has been remarkably-well preserved. The other ladies' pair shows a bit more wear and scuffing, with part of the strap missing on each. The boy's detachable blade pair show normal use with everything intact, and the larger man's pair is in absolute fine condition with no damage to the leather or blades.
