Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

There's no denying the St. Boniface Mohawks have been a powerhouse senior squad over the years, representing Manitoba in Canadian and Western Canada senior action on numerous occasions. In 1968, future NHL star Butch Goring suited up for the Mohawks for the Allan Cup, and he and his team would come close, falling to the Eastern champion Victoriaville Tigers in the tourney final. Offered is Goring's Allan Cup Finalist ring, a size 6 weighing about 10 grams, featuring a red stone surrounded by the wording "Allan Cup Runners Up", with the raised image of the Allan Cup on both shanks with one side showing "19" and the other "68". Inside the band is engraved as "Sterling" and the maker's hallmark, with the ring, condition-wise, showing tarnishing from age, some wear on the band, and some nicks and slight scratching. A great Allan Cup bauble from a great NHLer.
