Ray Bourque skated 21 seasons for the Bruins, winning the James Norris Trophy five times during that period. He picked-up his first Norris Trophy in 1986-87, the season he wore this very jersey. Ray's road black CCM uniform has the embroidered CCM logo on the tail and his captain’s "C" is sewn on the upper chest. A Maska Ultrafil tag in the neck is sewn over an "86 01" born on date tag. There is lots of pilling in the area surrounding the well-washed fight strap. There is a pair of team repairs on the right sleeve including a jumble of stitch work just above the "7" on the upper sleeve/shoulder area. There are 5 more sewing fixes on the left sleeve, a couple on the left shoulder, two more on the front of the jersey and a pair on the back as well. The sleeves, front and back of the jersey also have numerous game marks attesting to the battles the sweater was subjected to. The jersey is photo-matched to a black and white image which is showing correct placement of the long diagonal black mark on the left back tail and a pair of smaller marks in the same area and their placement in correlation with the longer mark. Bourque registered 95 points, including 23 goals, during the 1986-87 season, the second-highest total for points of his career. A fine Bourque gamer to add to your Beantown collection!
