Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
Well remembered for Brett Hull’s controversial and series-clinching overtime goal that led the Buffalo hopeful to rally behind the phrase “No Goal”, the sixth game of the 1999 Stanley Cup Finals was also the longest Cup-winning game in NHL history. This Stanley Cup trophy was presented to Ed Belfour as a member of the victorious Dallas Stars. Standing just over a foot tall at 13”, the exact replica features the full team details of the Dallas Stars beautifully engraved on the trophy’s main body. “From Stanley of Preston” can also be seen engraved on the original bowl, just under the top rim, with added crown and majestic eagle. The 6” diameter base has felt adhered to the underside, with affixed maker’s sticker from Boffey of Montreal. An LOA from Mr. Belfour will be included with this amazing trophy.
In gorgeous overall condition, the trophy symbolic of Canadian endurance and achievement displays beautifully, with a light amount of tarnish that could be cleaned if desired. Here’s your chance to own an actual Stanley Cup trophy that was originally presented to Hall of Fame goaltender Ed Belfour.
