Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
One of only two enthusiastically collected hockey tobacco tins in the hobby, we have a “Hockey” cigarette tobacco tin produced by the Trans-Canada Tobacco Company, a subsidiary of W.C. Macdonald Inc, in the late-1940s. At approx 4 ¼” in height and possessing an almost matching diameter, attractive graphics grace each side, with the lid tightly affixed, possibly glued. There is some spot rusting to the lid and the bottom rim, along with a few small dents, marks, scrapes and paint loss to the lithography. Despite these issues, the tin displays nicely.
