Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

Featuring one of the greatest netminders to ever guard an NHL crease, we have a signed stick that saw action in the competent hands of HOF superstar Patrick Roy in the early-1990s, while with the mighty Montreal Canadiens. A Victoriaville Pro model, “P. Roy” appears on the shaft, with the striping accent over the handle intact. The original white tape is in place on the knob and blade (a few strands are torn over the blade), with Patrick adding a black marker signature along the top of the paddle. Heavy use is immediately apparent, with a broken-off section at the tip of the blade, with numerous puck marks along with some additional chipping to the edges along the paddle. There is also some red paint transfer over the upper shaft. Roy would be awarded the Vezina, Conn Smythe and William M. Jennings Trophies during the era this stick was used.
