Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
Coaching minor hockey after his playing days, Murray Baron spent a trio of seasons with the North Dakota Fighting Sioux along with time in the AHL with Hershey before making his NHL debut with the Philadelphia Flyers, in 1989-90. The Prince George native would later spend multiple seasons with both Vancouver and St Louis. This Canadiens jersey was worn by Baron in 1996-97, with the possibility existing of preseason use. A sewn-down CCM “Goalie Style” label and size “58” fly tag are affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, “36” appears over the sleeves and verso in blue-over-red tackle twill, with “Baron” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. Obtained directly from the Montreal Canadiens, a signed LOA from Rejean Houle on Montreal Canadiens' letterhead will accompany.
Exhibiting very light game use, there is some pilling beneath the fight strap along with faint marks over the left sleeve.
