Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
One of hockey’s most celebrated markers, we have a photo of Bill Barilko's famous Stanley Cup-winning overtime goal versus the Canadiens in Game Five of the 1951 Stanley Cup finals. At roughly 13” x 19” (exposed) and on glossy stock, the black and white image capture’s the moment the goal was scored, with six signing in blue sharpie near their respective image including deceased HOF legend Maurice Richard (D-2000), along with fellow deceased Hall members Tom Johnson (D-2007) and Butch Bouchard (D-2012), with Howie Meeker, Cal Gardner and Gerry McNeil rounding out the signatures. A silver plaque has been added beneath listing the particulars along with team pins, with the photo double-matted and framed to full dimensions of approx 24 ½” x 28 ½”. A sticker from JSA numbered “X62927” has been added over the lower right next to a hologram, with a matching LOA to accompany.
We should note a bit of wear to the frame, including a few marks/scratches.
