Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
A participant representing Canada at the famous Summit Series in 1972, Red Berenson contributed an assist for the cause, occurring on an important Yvan Cournoyer goal in Game Six. From Red’s personal collection, we have a stick team-signed by Team Canada 1972, with this a pre-tournament example that feature’s individuals who never made the team. A Northland Custom Pro model, “Berenson” appears stamped-on, with stamps from Larson Industries gracing each side. In beautiful condition and never used, approx. 37 felt-tip marker signatures appear along one side of the shaft, including HOFers Clarke, Dionne, Gilbert, Lapointe, Perreault, Dryden, Mahovlich and the Esposito brothers, along with Berenson, Awrey, Bergman, Ellis, Glennie, Goldsworthy, Hadfield, Hull, Henderson, Martin, Parise, Tallon and others. A signed LOA from Red Berenson will accompany.
As mentioned, the stick remains in gorgeous condition, with the signatures a lighter blue, with most very legible despite some bleeding into the material.
