Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
Defending Stanley Cup champions during the 1999-00 NHL season, the Dallas Stars would advance to the finals for a second-straight year, led on the strength of Ed Belfour’s goaltending. Hailing from his personal collection, we have the stick used by the superstar netminder in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals, played on April 12, 2000, and it’s been signed. A Christian model with “Belfour” over the upper shaft, the stick features Ed’s trademark eagle over the lower paddle, with the original black tape over the blade and handle, and white on the knob. Belfour has signed over the front side heel section in silver, with no issues for the signature. A signed LOA from Ed Belfour will accompany.
Annotations have been added to the back of the shaft, with "4/12/00 Round 1 Game 1 Stars vs Edm". Nice use is exhibited on the lumber, with wear to the taped section of blade including the underside, with a bit of fraying to the handle tape.
