Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Fresh off a season that witnessed Ed Belfour garner the Vezina and William Jennings Trophies, we have a Chicago Black Hawks jersey that was worn by the superstar netminder in both the 1994-95 NHL regular season and 1995-96 NHL training camp. Void of it’s former labeling with just a single size “58” fly tag affixed to the collar, embroidered CCM (in Hawks colours) and NHL crests grace the reverse bottom hem. Styled with the famous multi-coloured Indian head Black Hawks team crest with chain-stitched detailing, the air-knit V-neck has been accented with oversized white tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers with black trim, with gorgeous matching chain-stitched tomahawk crests over each shoulder. "95" has been handwritten behind the CCM hem crest, with a Sports Registry bar code near the fight strap numbered “44005756”. The desirable HOF sweater will be accompanied by a team LOA, MeiGray COR and Sports Registry document.
Thorough use is exhibited on the sweater, with a few marks beneath the team crest and a repaired reverse collar, with a pair of team repairs near the team crest. There is also some heavy pilling over the left cuff, as well as a few fabric pulls on the lower reverse.
