Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Hailing from only his second season representing the blue and white, we have a Toronto Maple Leafs captain’s jersey that was worn by defenceman Dion Phaneuf in 2010-11, where he appeared in 66 games, along with a pair of gloves worn by the 2007-08 ‘First Team All-Star’. A label with “58” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the club’s familiar team crest, “3” appears over the sleeves and verso in single navy twill, with matching vintage-style alternate crests over each shoulder. The team patch sits on the inside hem, with a COA from the Leafs to accompany. The CCM gloves originate from the 2010s and are in Leafs colours, with “3” embroidered over each wrist guard.
The jersey exhibits a few faint marks visible just over the team crest and on the lower left sleeve, with a few random fabric pulls present along with a small hole over the upper right sleeve. Each glove exhibits a few dark marks, with additional wear/marks to the palm of the right glove. There is also reinforced leather that was added to the palm of the left glove.
