Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019

The 1984-85 Thunder Bay Twins are the only team in Allan Cup history to overcome a 3-0 series deficit and win four straight games to claim the title. This historic 1984-85 Twins Allan Cup championship 10-karat gold ring was presented to defenseman Dennis Owchar, a former NHL defenseman and member of the great 1972-73 Toronto Marlies Memorial Cup champions who claimed his second straight Canadian senior title with Thunder Bay. “Allan Cup Champions” surrounds the tableau that features a large zirconia. "10K" is stamped inside the band of the size 11 1/2 ring, which weighs approximately 18 grams and represents an amazing accomplishment in Canadian hockey history. Comes with Dennis Owchar’s signed LOA.
“Owchar 25” appears above the Allan Cup on one shank. The other shank displays “Twins”, the team logo and “85”, which is somewhat smoothed. More proud wear shows in surface scratches, mostly on the bottom of the band of this otherwise nicely preserved championship ring.
