Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
Tied with the legendary Gordie Howe for most NHL seasons played all-time with 26, Chris Chelios appeared in more NHL regular season games than any defenceman in history. We have a stick used by the 2013 HOF inductee during the early-1990s with Chicago. A Sher-Wood PMP 7000 Feather-Balanced model with “Chelios” stamped and “7” handwritten, the original black tape is present over the blade and white over the knob. The NHL decal is intact, with moderate to heavier wear to the lumber including over the blade, heel section and lower shaft, with chipping and surface abrasions along with red paint transfer. The blade also appears to be cracked beneath the tape, with a few minor areas over the upper shaft where the grain is slightly lifting. Originating from the personal collection of Hall of Fame superstar Bob Gainey, his signed LOA will accompany.
