Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020

The 18th overall selection at the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, Brad Brown would see action with five different NHL clubs throughout his career, including Buffalo, Chicago and Montreal. This Canadiens jersey was worn by the Baie Verte native during the NHL preseason, circa 1996-97 to 1998-99. A Maska Ultrafil label and size “54” fly tag grace the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, “44” appears over the sleeves and verso in white-over-blue tackle twill, with “Brown” across the affixed nameplate in single white twill. We should note that the collar labeling predates the 1996-97 season, and with evidence of a former, slightly longer nameplate, the jersey may have been worn by Bryan Fogarty in 1994-95 (played in 21 games wearing the #44). Exhibiting just a few random marks and faint burns over the sleeves, there is also some minor pilling beneath the fight strap. Obtained directly from the Montreal Canadiens, an LOA signed by Rejean Houle will accompany.
