Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

A third round draft choice of the now defunct Minnesota North Stars in 1982, defenceman Bob Rouse spent a lengthy 16 seasons in the world’s best league, serving as either a full or part-time alternate captain with Detroit, Washington and Toronto. We have a signed Red Wings jersey worn by the Surrey native in 1995-96, and it’s been photo-matched. CCM and Eastside labeling remains affixed to the collar along with a size “54” fly tag, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with the classic winged-wheel team crest with embroidered detailing, the mesh-style V-neck has been accented with single-twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Rouse” placed directly over the upper reverse in matching material.
The team patch sits over the inside hem, with Rouse adding a large black marker signature just over the right breast. Heavy use is immediately apparent, with numerous black marks over the lower front and sleeves, along with board burns over each elbow section. There is also a large slit just above the left cuff, with numerous team repairs over each lower sleeve as well as pilling over the lower reverse hem. Getty Image #898436638 from March 20th 1996 (vs Toronto) has been matched to the black mark on the left shoulder above the number, and to the team repair showing some white in it over the left sleeve. It should also be noted that the team crest has been photoshopped and removed from the Getty Image.
