Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Rarely found, especially by a prominent and highly collected maker, we have a pair of seldom-seen early goalie pads that hail from the circa-1910s manufactured by New Hampshire’s Draper & Maynard. We also have a cabinet photo of the 1921-22 Niagara Falls Intermediate hockey team. At 26” in length, the century old pads feature worn leather with inserted slats, with faint D&M logos visible along the top inner section of each pad. While three straps were utilized on each, just a single example remains on each, with some of the horse hair stuffing visible along the bottom of one pad. Well used with heavy rusting to the metal components, each pad displays well. The 12” x 14” Niagara Falls team photo features the OHA finalists with executives, and it remains in gorgeous condition, with just very light wear.
