Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

Finishing second in the Canadian Division and third overall behind both the Rangers and Canadiens at the conclusion of the 1931-32 NHL regular season, the Toronto Maple Leafs would slip past the Black Hawks and Maroons before sweeping the Blue Shirts in three-straight games to be crowned Stanley Cup champions. We have an attractive panorama photo of the Blue and White from their championship season of 1932, with this example highly desirable due to the gorgeous cardigan sweaters the Leafs are sporting. Diminutive in stature at a mere 5 ½” x 17 ½” framed, the full team is pictured lined-up outside a large building – most likely Mutual Arena – including HOFers Charlie Conacher, Red Horner, Busher Jackson, Hap Day, Ace Bailey, Joe Primeau, Syd Howe, King Clancy and owner Conn Smythe.
The photo appears to be in excellent condition with no obtrusive wear or damage, with just light wear to the frame itself, especially along corners/edges.
