Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
A component of the famous Eric Lindros trade that sent the superstar from Quebec to Philadelphia, Steve Duchesne saw action in three NHL All-Star Games throughout his career, with a Stanley Cup won as a member of Detroit in 2002. We have a Red Wings jersey that was worn by the Quebec native in 2000-01, his second last season in the NHL. A CCM label along with a size 54 fly tag appear affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the back neckline and reverse hem respectively. Styled with the attractive winged-wheel team crest borrowed from the famous Montreal AAA, the solid white V-neck has been accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Duchesne” arching over the reverse numbers in single red twill. A few dark marks are visible on the front including over the lower hem, with a few additional marks over the left elbow. There are also numerous team repairs over each lower sleeve, with 5 on the left and 3 on the right. The screened-on team patch sits on the inside hem, and it denotes the garment as a “2nd Set” example.
