Beloved Boston Bruins legend Ray Bourque’s signed photo-matched 1988-89 game-worn captain’s jersey is from the first full season that the five-time Norris Trophy winner wore his now-retired No. 77. Bourque gave Phil Esposito the No. 7 he previously wore when Espo’s number was retired the previous season and he made 77 his own the rest of his Hall of Fame career that featured an astonishing 19 appearances on the NHL First and Second All-Star teams. This black beauty is matched to an included digital image by the small black mark on the lower portion of the second "7" of No. 77 on the right sleeve and to a number of marks on the top and bottom of the yellow twill outer ring of the team crest on the front. Maska flag tag in the neck has his size “52” handwritten in faint blue ballpoint. Embroidered CCM and screened Custom Crafted logos are on the rear hem and the fight strap displays salt and wear. Comes with an LOA.
Ray signed in bold black marker along the top of the left “7” on the back. More game wear includes black marks on the front and rear tails and both sleeves, which also display board burns and unrepaired burn holes.
