Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
The 1991 NHL season would be memorable for superstar defenceman Paul Coffey, with an amazing 93 points scored during the regular season along with his fourth and final Stanley Cup career win. The HOFer would also appear in his 9th NHL All-Star Game. We have a Wales Conference jersey that was worn by Coffey at the 1991 NHL All-Star Game in Chicago. Maska Air-Knit labeling with handwritten “52” is affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the back bottom hem. Styled with a gorgeous NHL shield team crest in the familiar orange and black, dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers have also been utilized, with the 42nd NHL All-Star Game crest residing over the right shoulder. Six small tackle twill stars have also been placed along the lower front and reverse band. A signed LOA from Paul Coffey will accompany.
We should also note that “2” has been handwritten on the fight strap, with a textured shield crest present over the left shoulder. Worn for just a single contest, game-wear is very light, with just a few small random marks present.
