Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
From Olympic gold medalist in Rome in 1960 to becoming the only three-time world heavyweight champion in boxing history, Muhammad Ali transcended boxing and sport to become an American icon. Featuring the one and only legend, we have a signed photo and boxing glove. A right-handed Everlast model, the size 14 glove feature a large maker’s label, with tie-string intact. The signature has been applied in marker, and it projects well off the red background, with just the slightest amount of fading. The photo is 8” x 10”, and it pictures the champ in the ring all smiles. Ali has signed across his image, with no loss or fading. A sticker from JSA numbered Y70093 has been affixed to the glove, while a second sticker from the authenticators numbered Y70095 has been affixed to the photo, with matching LOAs to accompany.
The glove remains in absolutely gorgeous condition with no issues whatsoever, while the photo exhibits a few small surface indentations along with a couple light touches to a few corners. An LOA from HOFer Brett Hull will also accompany these desirable signed items, as they originate from his personal collection.
