Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2003-04 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
Another beautiful matched set, we have a pair of Canadiens jerseys from 2006-07, with home and away examples both issued to, and prepared for game use for Michael Lambert. Each jersey features size tagging along the collar with handwritten “1”, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the bottom hem and back necklines respectively. Styled with the most famous and recognizable team crest in hockey, both V-neck sweaters have been accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Lambert” across the nameplate of each in single twill. Game-issued, we should note that what appears to be faint board burns are visible over the right shoulder on the home example, with this jersey possibly seeing use. MeiGray patches numbered “D00612” (Home Set 1) and “D00639” (Away Set 1) sit on the inside hems, while holograms affixed to the reverse numbers of each match the accompanying LOAs from the Canadiens.
