Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
May we help you find your seat at the old Maple Leaf Gardens? These two items were worn by an usher at the venerable arena, the longtime home of the Toronto Maple Leafs, from 1932 to 1999. Memories and dreams were indeed realized there and if you had a ticket to see a hockey game, sporting event, concert or show, there was an usher dressed with this type of jacket and hat. Measuring-out to roughly a size 44, “101” tagging is sewn on the lining just below the inside rear collar of the jacket, which has a Maple Leaf Gardens patch sewn on the left breast below a sewn-on “Usher” patch in Leafs blue. The cap, which comes with a 12 ½” x 13 ½” x 12” display case, has “587” embroidered in blue thread on the front of the white portion on the forehead. “The Muir Cap & Regalia Ltd.” tagging sits under plastic on the inner lining, with size 7 3/8 (59) indicated below.
