Both part of the Big Bad Bruins core of the 1970’s, Gerry Cheevers and Terry O’Reilly became synonymous parts of Boston Bruins style hockey during the decade. Presented here is a pair of signed jerseys from the legendary duo. The Cheevers jersey, being the black road variation, is made by CCM and is a throwback to the style worn by Cheevers during his time in Boston. The front has been stylized with a classic tackle twill Bruins crest while the sleeves and reverse have been stylized with Cheevers’ number “30” in dual-layer tackle twill with “Cheevers” in similar style on an affixed twill nameplate. The back “0” has been signed by Cheevers with a fine black signature that displays without issue. The second jersey, a white Bruins jersey of Terry O’Reilly features the Bruins team crest on the front with the alternate captain’s “A” in dual-layer tackle twill affixed to the left breast. The sleeves and reverse showcase O’Reilly’s number “24” and name in a similar dual-layer tackle twill style. The jersey is an 80’s era offering and has pulls and snags throughout the front and right sleeve. Both sleeves also contain staining at the elbow area. O’Reilly has signed the back number “2” in fine silver ink that displays without any flaws. A DFI Sports hologram is affixed underneath. Both jerseys are pro on-ice offerings with elements such as fight straps and reinforced elbows and are accompanied by certificates of authenticity.
