Fanatically collected despite the club relocating to Washington late in 2004, the Montreal Expos began life in 1969 as the first major league baseball team to be located outside the US. Spanning from that first season in 1969 until 1995, we have an interesting Expos scorecard, program and yearbook collection of 25, highlighted by a pair of first-season programs along with an inaugural season yearbook (there is also a third-season yearbook from 1971). Accompanying the Expos collection, we have 19 misc boxing and wrestling magazines ranging from the 1940s to 2012, including titles The Ring, Fight, Boxing and others, along with an additional 6 publications including a 1958 CFL Montreal vs Winnipeg football program, a 1968 NY Mets program and 1971 Philadelphia Phillies yearbook. The Expos first-season yearbook exhibits light wear with a few cover creases and indentations, with toning and very light staining, while the two first-season programs are both scored, with cover tears to each. The remaining programs show light wear for the most part, while the boxing and wrestling magazines all show heavier wear including tears, creases, spine damage and toning.
