Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Thrilling fans at Northlands Coliseum with a late period goal to tie the score and send the game into a shoot-out, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins achieved the feat during his very first NHL contest with the Edmonton Oilers, on Oct 9, 2011 vs the Pittsburgh Penguins. This puck – one of nine kept from the contest – was used during the third period and was retrieved by the club, and it was later signed by Nugent-Hopkins. An offical NHL game puck with Oilers logo and NHL reverse, Nugent-Hopkins has signed just above the Oilers logo in silver, with the signature displaying well. The puck itself shows light game-use, with an Oilers inventory tag affixed to the reverse along with an Oilers decal numbered “7046”, with a matching team LOA to accompany. We should also note that a plastic and wood display case is included with a mounted Nugent-Hopkins Upper Deck hockey card, along with a signed photo and signed magazine.
