Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Fun stuff here may be of a little more interest to collectors of Canadiens and Maple Leafs material, with both teams represented by 1968-69 Post marbles and six Habs still in their original packaging, although all but Rogie Vachon have their “bags” reinforced with magic tape. Other Montrealers are Ferguson, the two Tremblays, Harris and Rousseau, with the latter exhibiting a noticeable crack in the clear half, while Toronto entries are Hall of Famers Bower, Horton, Pilote and Ullman, along with Carleton, Gamble (2), Henderson and Walton, with no condition issues to note. Canadiens pinback buttons feature mostly Hall of Famers, with a real nice Savard pin accompanied by scratched examples of Cournoyer, Ferguson, Lemaire, Richard and Vachon, with a neat original Miracle Mart price sticker on the back Rogie, revealing that they were 19 cents each or 2/25! There’s also a faded sticker on the reverse of Cournoyer. Colgate Heads from the same time frame are good for hockey heads who like duplication, with the lowdown as follows: Cournoyer (2), Dryden (6), Henderson (2), Orr, Plante (3), Ratelle (7), Tallon (3) and Unger (5). Over (100) ’64-65 Coke caps are present but most are low grade, with Pronovost (2), Gadsby (2), Kelly and Keon among the dozen-or-so better examples. Rounding out the lot is a little ’61-62 (French) Gillette Hockey Digest, two ’74-75 unopened IGA Toronto Toros Lucky Puck game cards (both featuring Gerard Gibbons), a stack of ’74-75 NHL Action Stamps (Loblaws) totalling over 400, with two or three or more of Dryden, Lafleur, Dionne, Potvin, Mikita and the Esposito brothers and finally, three dozen little cards/stamps in cellophane that came in potato chips in the ‘80s.
