The 18th overall selection at the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Ryan Parent spent time with both Philadelphia and Vancouver before additional time in the AHL with a number of clubs including Chicago and Norfolk. The Prince Albert native also represented Canada at the 2005 ADT Canada/Russia Challenge Series before winning back-to-back gold medals at the World Juniors, in 2006 and 2007 respectively. This Team Canada jersey was worn by Parent at the 2007 tournament, while the accompanying helmet saw action at the 2005 ADT Canada/Russia Challenge Series. Produced by Nike with an IIHF label over the collar and screened-on “62” sizing, a vintage style Team Canada crest has been used along with single twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. The jersey sports nice game-use, with faint burns visible over the sleeves, with a few blemishes over the left shoulder and pilling within the collar. The helmet is a Reebok model in solid black with intact Itech visor, chin strap and interior harness, with CSA and certification labels over each reverse side. Nice use is exhibited, with numerous scratches to the surface and wear to the visor. A team patch has been added to the jersey, with a CHL letter to accompany for the helmet.
