Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

Challenging for obvious reasons is O-Pee-Chee's 1973-74 issue, with this set alluring and indeed without a single grey back variation, (not that there's anything wrong with that(!)). Exhibiting minimal handling/wear/creases, these are dominated by EX+ and better contributors, with dozens of NM-or-better examples present. With NM characteristics is the key Larry Robinson rookie card, with a noticeable yellow print dot to note, while the Billy Smith RC is EX-MT. One of the dozen-or-less creased cards is #30-Bobby Orr, with two small subtle back creases undetectable at first glance. Sure, there are intermittent corner touches and white specs and cards that are "only" EX, but overall, quite pleasing. The first (Delvecchio) and last (Sittler) cards of the 1st Series have rubber band indentations. Checklists are unmarked, with #s 116 and 129 EX and 263 superior at EX-MT. The first appearance of OPC team cards is also notable and to be appreciated.
