Awarding each season’s playoff champion with the Paul W. Loudon Trophy, the USHL operated from 1945 to 1951 and featured clubs from numerous areas of the United States. The 1947-48 USHL season featured eight clubs, with the Kansas City Pla-Mors defeating the Omaha Knights for the title. Originating from the incomparable autograph collection of E. Robert Hamlyn, we have team-signed sheets from five of the eight 1946-47 USHL clubs including the champion Pla-Mors, Fort Worth Rangers, Tulsa Oilers, Dallas Texans and St Paul Saints. At approx 5” x 7”, each card stock sheet features signatures placed in two vertical rows, with the team listed on the front or reverse. Standouts include Bert Olmstead and coach Reg Hamilton (Pla-Mors), coach Gus Marker (Tulsa), and coach Muzz Patrick (St Paul).
Each signature has been scripted in ink, with the majority displaying beautifully despite being somewhat bunched-up. The card stock sheets all show wear including creasing, with residue on each reverse from scrapbook removal.
