Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

Another noteworthy season for Philadelphia captain and superstar Eric Lindros, The Big E would secure 71 points throughout the 1997-98 campaign, more than enough to top the point-a-game plateau, an accomplishment Eric would achieve throughout his HOF career. We have a Flyer’s captain’s jersey that was donned by Eric that very season, and it’s been photo-matched. A Nike label remains along the collar with a “58” size tag affixed to the inside seam, with Nike and NHL crests gracing the reverse bottom hem. Styled with the classic winged-P Flyers team crest fully administered in tackle twill, the V-neck road jersey has been accented with dual-colour sleeve and verso numbers in matching material. Lindros has signed the reverse side of the team crest in black marker along with the Flyers trainer, with "97-98" handwritten below. A signed LOA from Eric Lindros will accompany.
Great game-use is present on the important captain’s jersey, with numerous dark marks over the sleeves along with board burns, with some blue paint transfer visible over each shoulder. We should also note that the back collar has been torn and repaired. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-matches, Getty Images #307399 and #308856 from April 13th 1998 have been matched to the pair of partially washed-out marks on the left shoulder, and to the black mark below the second 8 over the left sleeve, while Getty Image #307290, also from April 13th, has been matched to the pair of partially washed-out marks on the left shoulder, to the black mark below the second 8 over the left sleeve and to another mark on the same sleeve. Lastly, Getty Image #302983 from April 19th 1998 has been matched to the pair of partially washed-out marks on the left shoulder, to the black mark below the second 8 over the left sleeve and to the long marks through the number "88" over the left sleeve.
