Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
The final NHL stop of his noteworthy Hall of Fame career, Ed Beflour would spend a single season in sunny Florida with the Panthers in 2006-07, and would tie Tony Esposito for eighth place on the all-time shutout list after blanking the Canadiens, on Feb 13, 2007. These issued pads have been attributed to Belfour for use with Florida in 2006-07. Reebok Pulse models in solid white with red accents, the 33” pads feature screened, embroidered and sewn-on identifiers, with all strapping intact. While the pads remain in excellent, unused condition, we should note a few random marks are visible over each pad, as they may have been tried on by Ed at practice. It should be further noted that Belfour used similar pads with the Panthers, but they featured black along with red outlines as they were a different model. A signed LOA from Ed Belfour will accompany.
