One of the most in-demand rookie cards from the 1980s is that picturing a young Patrick Roy and issued the season after he had led the Canadiens to the Stanley Cup to earn the first of his record three Conn Smythe Trophies. The write-up on the back also mentions Patrick's time with Sherbrooke, (he backstopped the Habs' farm team to the Calder Cup in 1985), and his three junior seasons with Granby. Meriting lofty MINT 9 recognition from PSA, this example of card #53 features near-perfect centering and has only ever been edged by just 79 others in the history of PSA, with the firm examining over 2600 Roy RCs over the years. In the years to come, you'll be pleased and proud to own this one.
Please note that the PSA holder exhibits a few light scratches, with a more obvious one in the lower left corner.
