Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
Featuring a trio of Hall of Fame members that all witnessed over 1,500 games of NHL action (both regular and postseason), we offer game-used sticks from the early-1990s used by superstars Phil Housley, Al MacInnis and Kevin Stevens. First, the Stevens stick is a KOHO 2211 Profibre model used with the Pittsburgh Penguins with “Stevens” stamped over the upper shaft, with the original black tape in place over the blade and knob. Scott has signed the lower shaft in blue marker, with areas of loss due to handling. The stick itself shows light game use, with wear to the underside of the blade. The Housley stick is a KOHO 2240 Revolution model used with the Winnipeg Jets with the original white tape over the blade and shaved handle. The stick exhibits good use, with puck marks on both sides of the blade along with marks and abrasions to the lower shaft. Housley has signed the blade, adding “Best Wishes”. Finally, the MacInnis stick is a Sher-Wood PMP 7000 model used with the Calgary Flames with “MacInnis” and “2” stamped over the upper shaft, with the original white tape over the blade and handle. Clear tape has been added to the shaft despite appearing uncracked, with an illegible date code over the underside of the lower shaft. The stick shows heavy use, with considerable wear to the blade and staining to the tape.
