Not many hands have touched these 1965-66 Topps cards and seldom have they been sifted through, with beauty bright vivid colors and snowy white borders abounding. There are some exceptions but NM-or-better cards dominate, with numerous NM-MT, NM-MT+ and MINT cards to be discovered. The key Phil Esposito rookie card is NM with less-than-perfect centering and a tiny surface indentation below the "E". We see Giacomin RC at NM, Cournoyer RC at EX-MT and Henderson RC at EX-MT+, with Cheevers RC one of the notable exceptions; creased and but G. Howe (NM) and 122-Howe 600 Goals (NM-MT)(MK) are notable, as are unmarked checklists; #66 is EX while #121 is EX-MT+. Four team cards are NM or better, with the Canadiens VG-EX and the Bruins EX-MT. A crease is spotted in 2-Worsley and 59-Hull (both VG+) but overall, dozens of cards destined for the pro graders await.
It should be noted that similar to the Howe SP card, cards of Sawchuk, Mikita and Hall have some black ink transfer specs affecting their fronts.
